Ayla & Nate made my dreams come true with their Mexico destination wedding.

Since the beginning of my photography career, it’s been my dream to shoot international destination weddings & elopements. When they reached out and told me they were eloping in Mexico, I was over the moon!

This wedding was so special. The little details that Ayla & Nate put into their day did not go unnoticed. They actually tied the knot a few months before their wedding in Mexico! But that didn’t make it any less special at ALL.

They started the wedding week off with all of their family coming together with welcome a welcome party on a rooftop terrace. This was honestly such an amazing idea! The bride and groom were able to greet their family and friends who had just flown in before the big day which caused less stress the day of!

On the actual wedding day, the bride and groom both got ready at a gorgeous boutique resort called the Fiesta Americana Galindo where we were able to take some photos in the most magical courtyards, complete with orange trees.

Their destination wedding ceremony took place at Cava 57 and this place was breathtaking! I could not recommend it enough. Their ceremony was officiated by Nate’s mother in Spanish, and then his brother translated it into English. It was such a beautiful celebration between the two cultures.

When the ceremony was over, a mariachi band played as everyone entered the reception space and it was honestly one of the coolest reception entrances I’ve seen!

Although Ayla and Nate did a bouquet and garter toss, they also honored Nate’s Hispanic heritage by incorporating the Spanish equivalent called “la vibora” or “the snake”, where all the single guests lined up and walked underneath the bride and groom standing on chairs whilst they poured tequila into their mouths. To be honest, everyone joined in after the first round!

At the end of the night, Ayla changed into an adorable blingy jumpsuit to party in. If you’re thinking about changing into something comfier at the end of the night… this is your sign to do it!

Being able to travel and capture such a special memory is one of my favorite things about this job. Whether you want to elope in Mexico, Ireland, or Yosemite… I’m down to pack my bags and meet you there.

Thank you Ayla & Nate for welcoming me in and making me a part of your story. You’ll forever hold a special place in my heart! 🧡
