So you want to have an epic adventure session with your partner? You’re at the right place! I recently had an adventure session with Mo and Mike and it inspired me to give more tips and book more adventure sessions!
Mo and Mike had the most amazing session at Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. After they found me on Instagram and got a recommendation from a friend, they booked their mini-adventure session! We met on the beach and drank some hard seltzers before starting the session! They were such a chill couple and were definitely down for adventure because they hopped right into the frigid water when I suggested it!
This 20 minute session turned into a session that lasted over an hour because we were having so much fun!
I want all of my couples to feel this relaxed and excited for their adventure sessions so I thought I would give some of my favorite tips!
Tip #1: When choosing an adventure session you want to make sure the location is the perfect place! You can go somewhere completely new or choose one of your favorite places! Make sure that the activities and views are what you are wanting in your session! I am always down to travel so choosing a fun location is completely up to you! If you ever need recommendations… just shoot me a DM!
Tip #2: Bring props or different ideas! You can bring your favorite drinks, champagne, snacks or any hobbies that will help make your session come to life! Do you want to hike and have a picnic on the top of a lookout? Let’s pack up the picnic basket and put on our hiking shoes! Do you want to sit on the beach and play music? Let’s do it! Want to do underwater photos? I’m SO down!
Tip #3: Pick an ideal time of the day! If you’re wanting to do an adventure session at a pretty well-known place.. you might want to consider an early morning or late evening where foot traffic is lighter.
Tip #4: Expect a few weeks or months to get everything set in stone! If you’re wanting to do an adventure session in the fall, I would book it as soon as possible! Photographers are usually booked pretty far in advance so you’ll want to get your date set in stone sooner rather than later.
